Bolton Landing, NY — The Lake George Land Conservancy (LGLC) is excited to announce that Matthew Sieber-Ford has been hired as Stewardship Coordinator. Sieber-Ford first joined the LGLC as its 2026 summer Stewardship Intern, and is staying on staff in this new full-time position.

As Stewardship Coordinator, Sieber-Ford supports the work of the LGLC’s Stewardship Program, which is expanding as the LGLC’s needs increase with its portfolio of protected lands. He assists with various projects to manage and maintain our properties and preserves, including trail maintenance, invasive species management, and assisting in the development of management plans. He has also overseen the multi-year forest restoration project at the Cook Mountain Preserve in Ticonderoga that began this summer.

Sieber-Ford said, “It’s very exciting and meaningful for me to be working on these special lands that we love so very much. I’m feeling so fortunate for the support I’ve had here over the last few years, and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this worthwhile work.”

LGLC Executive Director Mike Horn said, “Matthew has the exact skills, knowledge, and vision that we need to expand our stewardship capacity. We’re very happy to have Matthew join our team.”

Sieber-Ford has an Associate of Applied Science through SUNY ESF’s Ranger School, and has extensive experience with forestry and natural resources management, including invasive species management throughout the Adirondack Park. His relationship with the LGLC began a few years ago when he joined the Next Gen Committee and volunteered at LGLC events.
