DOG PHOTO CONTEST
Help support the LGLC’s Gazebo Reconstruction Project while showing off your favorite four-legged hiking companion!
CONTEST RULES
Submit your photo: Send a photo of you and your dog to Giulia Casella at gcasella@lglc.org by August 1st.
The photo should showcase your pup in nature, and implementing Leave No Trace Principles on our trails! Please include the name of your dog and a description of your photo for social media.
Contest: On Monday, August 5th, LGLC will share all photos of submitted dogs to their Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to follow us at @hikelakegeorge to join in on the fun!
Spread the Word: Photos with the most social engagement will win. Engagement will count as likes on individual photos, comments voting for your dog (limit to one comment a day), tagging friends on the picture you’d like to win, or sharing the post to your profile and tagging @hikelakegeorge.
Yappy Hour: Finalists will be invited to join us at the Yappy Hour, a puptail hour for hikers and their dogs to cheer on their fellow contestants and make new friends. The Yappy Hour will take place on August 23rd, from 5-7 PM.
ELIGIBILTY
Eligibility: The contest is open to everyone. There is no age limit, but participants under 18 must have parental consent.
Original Photos: All entries must be original photos taken by the participant. Professional photos are not eligible.
Entries: Each participant can submit only one photo per dog.
Submission Period: Photos must be sent to Giulia at gcasella@lglc.org by August 1st to qualify for the contest.
Winner Announcement: The winner will be announced at the Yappy Hour event on August 23rd. You must be present to claim your reward.
Reward: Winner of the dog photo contest will receive a professional photoshoot at the Pilot Knob gazebo and be featured on the cover of the next Lake George Land Conservancy newsletter.
