13th Annual Lake George Hike-A-Thon

July 5 All day

The Lake George Land Conservancy’s annual Hike-A-Thon is a one-day event held each July 5th, created to showcase LGLC’s parks and preserves as free public resources, and to promote an appreciation for the outdoors and protecting the land that protects the lake.

25 different hikes and paddles take place simultaneously at locations around Lake George, culminating with aerial photography of each group by helicopter. A Virtual option is also available for those who aren’t in the Lake George are on July 5, or who may just want to participate on a trail not listed. More info about the event and available sites at LakeGeorgeHikeAThon.org.

The event is free but donations are welcome and help us continue to offer events like this year-round. Plus, this year, for those who wish to help support the event through fundraising, we are offering one coveted seat in the helicopter to our top fundraiser! More details on our registration page.

Volunteers needed! The Hike-A-Thon relies on a huge team of volunteers who lead hikes, check in participants, help with the After-Party, and help plan the whole event. Learn more about volunteering here.
