LGLC NextGen Spotlight: Cheyenne Robinson

Our LGLC NextGen Committee is going into it’s 4th year and to celebrate, we want to shed light on the people that drive the Committee to success: meeting every month, managing events, brainstorming ideas and volunteering to help the LGLC reach more people in meaningful ways.

Not all of our Committee members are local, but all share a deep connection to Lake George. We’ve asked them a couple questions to learn more about who they are, why they are on the Committee and what they love about Lake George.

Up second is Cheyenne Robinson!

Cheyenne, a Queensbury native, currently works for the F.W. Webb Company in Ballston Spa. Cheyenne is also a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and appreciates wellness of the body and mind. Spending time around LG is her favorite way of taking care of her body and connecting with nature.

Where do you live? I live in Glens Falls but I grew up in Queensbury. I am so thankful to have grown up in the Adirondacks, so close to my favorite lake.

On the weekends I am… Doing yoga, aerial fitness, hiking, spending time with my family and friends, enjoying live music…

I joined the LGLC NextGen Committee because… I ran #Amy’sAdventureRace in 2017 and at the after party, I learned more about the NextGen Committee. I decided to get involved with LGLC’s mission because it spoke to me. Taking care of the land that protects Lake George is important for many reasons but mainly so that future generations can experience the magic of LG just as we did growing up. I am happy to be part of this great Committee!

Favorite place on/around Lake George… It’s hard to choose, but one of my favorites, of course, is Pilot Knob! Such a beautiful hike and it’s great for days where I have obligations but still want to enjoy fresh air and get some exercise.

Favorite thing to do on/around Lake George… I love coming to LG to spend time with family and friends. Whether we are enjoying the water, hiking, at a local restaurant or enjoying some live music, it’s always my favorite place to make memories!
