Living Lands: Basics of Beekeeping

Join the Southern Adirondack Beekeeping Association to learn all about the amazing honey bee. Cindy will cover all of the basics on why you should become a beekeeper, basic equipment, what beekeepers do, and go over a demo of a hive inspection.

About the Speaker: The Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association, SABA, has been active for over 40 years and currently has about 400 members spread across nine counties.  SABA offers monthly meetings, beekeeping classes for “newbies,” an annual all-day seminar, members involved in community outreach, and award-winning booths at the Saratoga and Washington County Fairs.

Living Lands is a presentation series that takes an exclusive and up-close look at the people, history and wildlife of the lands of Lake George and the Adirondacks, past and present.
