LGLC 2023 Discovery Series Offers Learning and Exploration for All Ages

Bolton Landing, NY — The Lake George Land Conservancy’s (LGLC) Discovery Series of outdoor programs continues this summer with a hike on Saturday, June 24, 9:30 – 11, at The Pinnacle Preserve. Following the half-mile trail to Bradley’s Lookout, participants will learn how to be citizen scientists on the trail and record their observations using the iNaturalist app.

Led by the naturalists from Up Yonda Farm Environmental Education Center, the hikes are geared toward hikers of all ages and vary in location, trail length, and educational topic.

Future program topics include insects, geology, ponds and stream life, beavers, birding and Lake George ecology.

Participation is free but registrations are required. More information and an online registration link is at lglc.org/discovery-series.

The Discovery Series is a free, multi-season program of educational, themed hikes for kids and adults. Outings are held at trails within the Town of Bolton, with the exception of one that will be held at the LGLC’s Sucker Brook Preserve in Putnam.

This Series is made possible with support from the Town of Bolton, the Lake George Mirror, and Sylvamo.

More information about the Series, as well as a complete schedule of programs throughout the year, can be found at lglc.org/discovery-series.
