LGLC Celebrates Selection as a Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program Beneficiary

Bolton Landing, NY – The Lake George Land Conservancy has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of March.

The Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program, which launched in April 2014, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

The LGLC was selected as the March beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hannaford located at 190 Quaker Rd, Queensbury. The LGLC will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during March.

“We want to thank Hannaford for choosing the LGLC as the community organization that will receive the proceeds from this wonderful program,” said LGLC Executive Director Jamie Brown. ”This is a great way for all of us to work together and make an impact that helps to protect our land and water.”

The LGLC is a nonprofit land trust headquartered in Bolton Landing, NY, with the mission to protect the land that protects Lake George. Since 1988 it has protected over 11,500 acres of land and 6.7 miles of shoreline that provide water quality protection, as well as broad benefits for wildlife, recreation, and scenic beauty.
