The Lake George Land Conservancy’s annual Hike-A-Thon is a one-day event held each July 5th, created to showcase LGLC’s parks and preserves as free public resources, and to promote an appreciation for the outdoors and protecting the land that protects the lake.
Hikes and paddles take place simultaneously at locations around Lake George, culminating with aerial photography of each group by helicopter. The event is free – we want everyone to be able to participate, regardless of financial means.
The Hike-A-Thon includes 20+ sites around Lake George with volunteer-led hikes and paddles (specific sites are still being confirmed). Virtual participation is also offered, for those who are not at the lake or who aren’t able to join group activities yet because of safety or other concerns. Registration opens March 6.
After-Party is open to all, no registration required. Bolton Community Center, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm.
Volunteers needed! The Hike-A-Thon relies on a huge team of volunteers who lead hikes, check in participants, help with the After-Party, and help plan the whole event. Learn more about volunteering here.
