Guided Hike at Pilot Knob – CANCELED

Join guide Sarah Haley for a hike at the Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob! Most guests of the preserve stop at the gazebo and return to the base; this hike will include the lesser-known but beautiful trail to the seasonal waterfall. This guided hike is a great option for those wishing to learn more about best practices on the trail, tips for outdoor fitness, or for those who are just looking to get into hiking.
3.5 miles round-trip. This hike includes a steady ascent to the gazebo and view. The blue trail is less steep.
Cost: $10 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Gazebo Reconstruction Project.
About Your Guide:
Sarah has been a New York State Licensed Hiking and Camping guide for nearly a decade. She is a Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace Trainer, Yoga Instructor, and fitness professional. Sarah enjoys trail running and has done a number of endurance and ultra races, as well as being an Adirondack 46er, and the first female Lake George 12ster Winter Ultra finisher.
About the Gazebo Reconstruction Project
After more than 35 years of service, the iconic gazebo at the Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob is getting replaced! To help cover the expenses, the LGLC is hosting several community events that will help spread the word about the project and raise the necessary funds to complete it in 2025.
