Next Gen Meet Up: Pink Moon at The Pinnacle – RESCHEDULED
April 12 @ 6:15 pm – 9:30 pm
NOTICE: Due to the cloudy forecast for April 12, this event has been rescheduled to May 10. Please visit the new event page to register.
Experience the magic of the Pink Moon with the Lake George Land Conservancy’s Next Gen Committee! On Saturday, April 12th, we’ll meet at 6:15 PM at the Pinnacle Preserve parking lot in Bolton Landing before hiking to the summit to witness the 7:34 PM moonrise.
The Pink Moon, named for the early spring bloom of wild moss phlox, is a stunning full moon that signals the changing season. To make the most of this celestial event, nature photographer Will Adamczak will lead a special talk on how to capture the moon at night. We’ll then enjoy warm drinks and snacks and enjoy moonlit views of Lake George.
Please note, this is a rare opportunity. LGLC preserves are normally closed after dark, and this event is one of the few times guests can experience the Pinnacle under the night sky with special permission from LGLC staff.
Admission is $15, with all proceeds benefiting the Lake George Land Conservancy.
Meeting Location: Pinnacle Preserve Parking Lot
Meet in parking lot: 6:15pm Hike Begins: 6:30 PM
Moonrise: 7:34 PM
