NextGen Meetup & Hike: Golden Hour on Lake George

May 21 @ 6:00 pm 8:30 pm

Meeting: 6 -7 pm, at Wiawaka Center for Women

Hike: 7-8:30 pm, at the Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob

Join the Lake George Land Conservancy’s NextGen Committee to dig into Lake George’s conservation story and learn about the legendary John Apperson!

Enjoy the peaceful setting of Wiawaka for our chat about the history of Lake George’s conservation scene and how Apperson led the charge of protecting this beautiful place. Afterward, we’ll head to the Schumann Preserve at Pilot Knob (~10 minute drive) to enjoy a hike with golden hour views – bring a snack to enjoy at the top!

This event is geared toward young professionals looking to connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and those looking to learn more about the Lake George Land Conservancy and the role we play in land protection for the greater community. Come hang out, learn something new, and soak in the beauty of Lake George. See you there!

Sunset at the Pilot Knob gazebo.

Free, but registrations are requested.
