Patrice will guide participants in a fun 2 hour painting session inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s Lake George in Autumn. Known as the Mother of American Modernism, O’Keeffe spent time on Lake George from 1918 to 1934.
Her painting Autumn was inspired by her love for the striking diversity of fall foliage in the Adirondacks. She painted a series of 29 leaf pictures between 1922 and 1931, all based on organic souvenirs she collected during her time here.
Focusing on shapes and proportions, participants will use acrylic paints on an 8 x 10 inch stretched canvas to paint their version of this Sunflower, and take home a finished painting. No framing is necessary.
Though geared for beginners, all ages and artistic abilities will enjoy this class. All supplies are included.
$25 per person.
