The LGLC’s NextGen invites community members to gather for a benefit for our Wiawaka Uplands project at the Wiawaka Center in celebration of the summer solstice.
Join us for opening remarks from AdkAction Executive Director Sawyer Bailey, a delicious barbecue, a chance to learn more about land conservation, refreshments, raffle prizes, a scavenger hunt, and more.
The night will finish off as the sun sets with live music from Margo Macero.
There will be an optional hike beforehand to get an exclusive look at the 47 acres the LGLC is protecting behind the Center from 4:30 – 5:30 PM. Registration is limited to 25 people.
The LGLC’s Next Generation (NextGen) Committee is a group of young adults who are passionate about protecting the land and the lake and are committed to organizing innovative and engaging events for the Conservancy and for the communities surrounding Lake George. LGLC’s annual Amy’s Adventure Race for the Lake was spearheaded by the NextGen committee, and continues to be organized and run by this passionate group. The committee also puts on other events such as the Summer Solstice event, which provide opportunities to engage with the community and raise funds for special projects. If you are interested in getting involved with the NextGen Committee, contact Giulia Casella at 518-644-9673 or email gcasella@lglc.org.
