January 29, 2020 LGLC NextGen Spotlight: Sydnie Wells
Our LGLC NextGen Committee is going into it’s 4th year and to celebrate, we want to shed light on the people that drive the Committee to success: meeting every month, managing events, brainstorming ideas and volunteering to help the LGLC reach more people in meaningful ways.
Not all of our Committee members are local, but all share a deep connection to Lake George. We’ve asked them a couple questions to learn more about who they are, why they are on the Committee and what they love about Lake George.
Sydnie Wells is up first!
Sydnie grew up in Bolton Landing, attending Bolton Central School before receiving her Undergraduate degree at Union College. Sydnie has been a member of the NextGen Committee since it’s creation and has also contributed as a volunteer to many LGLC events. You might also know Sydnie as the daughter of our very own Finance & Office Manager Cornelia Wells!
Where do you live?
I live in Saratoga, but my home will always be Bolton Landing.
On the weekends, I am…
Hanging out with family and friends, skiing, skating, swimming, boating, knitting, going to art museums.
I joined the LGLC NextGen Committee because…
LGLC does so much good for Bolton Landing and Lake George. I wanted to give back to an organization that has given so much to the place that I grew up and continue to enjoy.
Favorite place on/around Lake George…
My family’s camp on Clay Island. I am always happy sitting on our deck reading a book or simply watching the boats go by.
Favorite thing to do on/around Lake George…
My favorite thing to do on Lake George is to go swimming. I look forward to my first swim in the spring, and cherish my last swim in the fall.
