LGLC’s 2024 Living Lands Summer Presentation Series Kicks Off June 26

Bolton Landing, NY — The Lake George Land Conservancy’s (LGLC) annual summer presentation series, Living Lands, kicks off on Wednesday, June 26th and continues weekly through August 28. Presentations are free and a virtual option is available with advance registration.

The first program, “The Birth of the Electric Age,” will be presented by teacher, writer, essayist, and activist, Pete Nelson. Nelson will discuss the amazing and little-known story of how an Adirondack electromagnetic revolution changed the world – and set the stage for us to save it.

Other topics include timber rattlesnakes, bats, nature photography, vermiculture, wildcrafting, the history of Battlefield Park, and the impacts of infrastructure and road salt on our wildlife and environment.

These educational presentations will be held Wednesdays at 5:30 pm at the LGLC office in Bolton Landing or virtually. Advance registration is required, regardless of in-person or virtual choice. Presentations are free but in-person space is limited. Details and online registration form are available at lglc.org/living-lands.
